The name RocketBallz came from PGA Tour Professional Dustin Johnson
after he hit the first prototype - "It goes like a rocket!" The
designers and engineers have stuck with the quote ever since and the
RocketBallz series was born. Jason Day and Camilo Villegas already have
the RBZ drivers in their bags!
The TaylorMade RocketBallz (RBZ) technology has been packaged into a
great looking driver and combines speed and adjustability to give you
the perfect custom fit driver to have in your bag. Speed, adjustability
and Tour-validated performance has never been so affordable!
The distinctive matte white crown is paired with a devilish black
face making it much easier to 'see' the ball at address and aid
alignment for extra accuracy and confidence. The head also features some
small striking green colour accents to make your club look as good in
the bag as it does at address.
TaylorMade’s patented Flight Control adjustable hosel technology
(FCT) allows you to quickly and simply adjust the face angle, loft and
lie angles to one of eight different positions. These settings allow for
up to 60 yards of side to side trajectory adjustments. The perfect tool
for fine tuning your ball flight!
A modern and super-slippery aerodynamically shaped club head glides
through the air with less resistance. This increases the speed at which
the head travels and therefore the distance you hit the ball!
The TaylorMade Rocketballz RBZ Driver has the maximum 460cc
capacity head, which can appear up to 2% larger when placed behind the
ball. This added appearance adds to your confidence and inspires you
right from the first tee.
Inverted Cone Technology has been milled directly into the back of
the club face, making the sweet spot bigger for more forgiveness on
off-centre strikes. The RBZ design has been developed to make the club
appear larger at address even with its standard face height. The face
allows the club to be even more forgiving on miss hits from the tee.
A slight draw bias combined with a centre of gravity that has been
placed further forward in the head delivers a higher launch angle with
less spin for a straighter ball flight.
Each TaylorMade Rocketballz RBZ Driver comes fitted with a RBZ
Superfast Matrix Ozik XCON 5 graphite shaft. Weighing only 50 grams,
this incredibly lightweight shaft increases clubhead speed for more
distance.
The lightweight shaft and grip means that the total club weight is
only 300 grams. This allowed the TaylorMade engineers to raise the swing
weight, further increasing swing speed for extra distance.
