Sean Toulon the Executive vice president of TaylorMade - "We’re
confident that more golfers than ever before will unlock significant
performance gains through a proper fitting and a few clicks of the
wrench. The technologies we’ve incorporated into this clubhead are
unparalleled."
The TaylorMade R11S Fairway Wood takes all the outstanding features
of the original R11 Fairway Wood but with some amazing new additions.
The 3-way Adjustable Sole Plate and improved adjustable Flight Control
hosel gives you endless possibilities.
The TaylorMade R11S fairway wood uses an improved 'Flight Control
Technology' (FCT) hosel, letting each golfer adjust the loft of their
club, up or down, by 3 degrees. This changes the launch angle that the
ball leaves the face of the club.
TaylorMade's 'Adjustable Sole Plate' (ASP) technology sits on the
base of the club and can be used to adjust the face angle into a
neutral, open or closed setting, for even greater distance.
Using these two amazing technologies gives every golfer the
choice of 24 different set-ups, that's 54 yards of side-to-side
trajectory change on your shots. Meaning each and every golfer, no
matter what your standard can set the club up perfectly for their game.
The flat white crown colour of the R11S fairways make them
appear slightly (2%) larger due to its white crown colour and a black
PVD face which provides the optimum contrast for more consistent
alignment for all players. The crown colour also eliminates the high
intensity hot spot that is commonly found with all gloss finish
metalwoods.
Measuring just 36mm, the face depth of the R11S fairway wood
inspires confidence at address and glides through just about any grass
for excellent playability.
The unique pull face construction gives you a thin, light and
fast clubface that promotes a high ball speed. The lightweight crown
helps in the process of moving the COG further forward. With the COG has
been moved further forward to provide lower spin whilst still being
able to maintain a high launch angle to get maximum distance.
Each R11S fairway wood is fitted with a Aldila RIP Phenom 70
graphite shaft which only weighs 70 grams. The RIP shaft features a
Reverse Inter-laminar Placement which provides more stability at impact
without getting a harsh feeling associated with some firmer tip shafts.
